Scotcloth User Guide

The site is simple to use. It allows you to go quickly to a category of pattern, by selecting from the buttons on the left side of the main window.

For example if your interest is in Menswear:-
 
1.Click on Menswear.
2.The menu drops down to give Mens clothing categories.
3.Click to select clothing type option eg jacketings, suitings.
4.Click to select choice of fabrics design options - checks, stripes, plains etc.
5.Click on one of these categories for instance small checks, and a choice of small check designs will appear.
6. About this point a Registration page will appear. Fill this in. This will allow you to proceed, FREE OF CHARGE, to the design section. Once you have registered, the programme goes back to the Front Page
7. Click on a Menswear again. Choose check button, click on check type then click on a design you like. This will open a central design window showing the design with small selection windows on the right, left and bottom of the central window.
8. Change the weave type used by clicking the small windows on the right side of the main window. Changing the weave alters the appearance of the background of the pattern. Change the colour of the pattern by clicking the small windows below the main window.

Your selection can then be stored in your portfolio for review or purchase.
If you proceed to purchased a design, once payment have been accepted, you can then download a sheet which illustrates the design selected, together with technical details of how the pattern is made and colours with Pantone® references.
You will also receive an image of a repeat of the design, which can then be manipulated by other design programmes.
